Questionnaire Results Analysis
This is my analysis of my questionnaire results.I asked about 20 - 30 people to complete my questionnaire; I asked a lot of people so i could get a varied results and a wider opinion. I have chosen to record the results using pie charts and bar graphs as i believe the are very easy to understand, and also when i come back to use them for ideas to the making of my music magazine i will not be confused.
From my results i can now figure out what i am going to do. My target audience is going to be 15 - 21 year old males (but i will keep females in mind when designing my music magazine, so it will appeal to both genders). The price of my magazine should be about £3.00, as that is what most people have chosen. Most consumers seem to read their magazines at home, or in fact anywhere. The question 'What Artists/Bands are you in to?' has given me a great insight into what my target audience are into and also what style of music they are into. Most of the artists and bands that were given to me by the people who filled out my questionnaire are very mainstream, which is great as i really wanted to do a mainstream music magazine. From that question, i can also look at Double Page Spreads of those artists and bands to get a good idea of what i could do. |
The music magazines that people have chosen they read are the types of magazine i would like to make. NME was the most chosen option, i feel it was as it's a very popular and successful magazine with that age group (15 - 21).
The top 5 chosen options for what people look for when choosing magazines are, Freebies, Interviews, Reviews, Exclusive Content, and Posters. This gives me a clear idea of what i could put on the front cover and contents page for my magazine. For the Double Page Spread, most people want quotes from the artist/band and would like the article introduction/overview. There has been a tie between having the main image on one page or both, so maybe i could put it in between (let the image bleed from one page to the next). Most consumers seem to visit the websites of music magazines, so i could include a website on the front cover. Overall, i feel my questionnaire has been very successful. I has helped me with a lot of things, and provided me with information and ideas for my own music magazine. I am looking forward to making my own music magazine with all of these ideas. |
